Detailed introduction

Yibin boasts a history of over 2,200 years, making it one of the earliest and most historically significant cities on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It is a cradle of Chinese liquor culture, with the headquarters of Wuliangye Group located here, and the influence of baijiu culture permeates every corner of the city. Economically, Yibin relies on industries such as liquor, energy, electronic information and new materials, and has recently been vigorously developing smart terminals and new energy vehicles, achieving one of the fastest economic growth rates in Sichuan Province. In terms of education, Yibin is home to several universities including the Yibin Campus of Sichuan University of Science & Engineering, Yibin University, and Yibin Vocational and Technical College, offering international students quality educational resources at relatively low living costs. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, the city features famous attractions such as the Southern Sichuan Bamboo Sea, Xingwen Stone Sea, and Lizhuang Ancient Town, where natural beauty and cultural heritage complement each other. The pace of life is comfortable, with a mild and humid subtropical climate and distinct seasons. The vertical climate variation yields abundant local products, including Yibin burning noodles, Lizhuang white-cut pork, and Nanxi dried tofu. As a fifth-tier city, Yibin has low consumption levels while meeting the standards of a large Type I city in terms of scale, with complete medical, commercial and cultural facilities. It is an ideal study destination for experiencing the charm of southwestern China.
