Detailed introduction

Chongzuo is located in the southwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, sharing a 533-kilometer border with Vietnam, making it one of the most convenient land gateways from China to ASEAN. Covering an area of 17,332 km² with a permanent population of 2.05 million, nearly 90% of residents belong to ethnic minorities, predominantly the Zhuang. With a long history dating back to the Warring States period, the Huashan Rock Art along the Zuojiang River, discovered in 2016, is a UNESCO World Heritage site depicting ancient Luo Yue people's rituals and daily life. Economically, Chongzuo relies on sugar, manganese, border trade, and tourism as pillar industries. It is China's largest sugarcane planting and sugar production base, earning the title 'China's Sugar Capital.' In education, Guangxi Normal University for Nationalities offers programs in languages and cultures tailored to ASEAN countries, providing a welcoming environment for international students. The city enjoys a warm and humid climate with lush greenery year-round, excellent air quality, and low living costs, making it an ideal place for study and life. International students can immerse themselves in ethnic festivals such as the 'March 3rd' Song Fair, experiencing the vibrant Zhuang and Miao cultures.
