Detailed introduction

Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture (Changji Prefecture) is located at the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains and the southern edge of the Junggar Basin, covering an area of 73,700 square kilometers with a permanent population of about 1.63 million. As an important agricultural and industrial base in Xinjiang, it produces cotton, wheat, tomatoes and other crops, and is rich in coal, oil, and natural gas. In recent years, new energy and equipment manufacturing have grown rapidly. In education, institutions such as Changji University and Xinjiang Vocational College of Agriculture provide Chinese language and professional courses for international students in a friendly learning environment. The city has a relaxed pace of life, moderate prices, and complete medical and commercial facilities. The multi-ethnic coexistence creates an inclusive atmosphere, allowing students to experience Hui traditional festivals (e.g., Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha) and Uyghur song and dance culture. Winters are cold and dry, summers hot with little rain—proper clothing and hydration are essential.
