Detailed introduction

Chuzhou has a long history dating back to the Qin Dynasty (221 BC) and a rich cultural heritage. During the Northern Song Dynasty, the great writer Ouyang Xiu served as the prefect of Chuzhou and wrote the timeless essay "The Pavilion of the Drunkard", making Langya Mountain and the pavilion cultural landmarks. Fengyang County, the hometown of Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, is also under Chuzhou's administration, leaving behind the ruins of the Ming Zhongdu Imperial City. Economically, Chuzhou serves as a bridgehead for Anhui Province to integrate into the Yangtze River Delta, with industrial clusters in smart home appliances, auto parts, and green food. Major companies like BSH Home Appliances and Changdian Technology have factories here. In education, Chuzhou University is a municipal undergraduate institution with several international exchange programs, while Anhui Science and Technology University (Fengyang campus) offers majors in agriculture, engineering, and more. Living costs are much lower than in nearby big cities like Nanjing and Hefei, with a monthly budget of about 1,500–2,500 RMB. The city has high green coverage and good air quality, with Langya Mountain National Forest Park as a popular recreation spot. As a fifth-tier city, Chuzhou enjoys a slow pace of life, ideal for focused study, while high-speed rail provides quick access to first-tier cities like Shanghai and Hangzhou.
