Detailed introduction

Wuhu boasts a long history, known as 'Famous City East of the River' and 'Distinguished Area of Wu and Chu', dating back to the Jiuzi settlement in the Spring and Autumn period. In modern times, it became a key treaty port along the Yangtze River and later emerged as an industrial powerhouse after China's reform and opening-up. Its economy is driven by three pillars: automobile manufacturing (led by Chery), electronics and home appliances (such as Midea), and cultural tourism (anchored by Fantawild theme parks). In education, Wuhu hosts Anhui Normal University and Anhui Polytechnic University, among others. Anhui Normal University, a provincial key comprehensive university, has an International Education College offering Chinese language and degree programs for international students. Daily life is convenient with shopping malls like Wanda Plaza and Suning Plaza, and healthcare is supported by top-tier hospitals such as Wuhu First People's Hospital. The city is green and pleasant, with Binjiang Park and Zheshan Park for relaxation. As a member of the Yangtze River Delta urban cluster, Wuhu enjoys excellent connections to Nanjing and Hefei, making weekend trips easy.
