Program overview
This program is essentially about making agriculture greener and more sustainable. You will learn how to scientifically manage agricultural resources such as soil, water, atmosphere, and biology while reducing pollution and waste. Core courses include soil science, plant nutrition, agroecology, environmental monitoring and remediation, and remote sensing technology for resources. It is suitable for students who love nature, have an interest in both agriculture and environmental protection, and are willing to conduct experiments in the field as well as analyze data in the lab. Many agricultural universities in China (e.g., China Agricultural University, Nanjing Agricultural University) have strong practice bases in this field, with real-world cases in saline-alkali land improvement, fertilizer reduction, and rural wastewater treatment. Classes often include field visits, making the learning very practical.
