Program overview
The Agricultural Resources and Environment program is essentially about studying how to use land, water, and air resources sustainably without harming the environment. You'll take core courses like soil science, plant nutrition, agricultural meteorology, and environmental monitoring, and also get hands-on with modern tools like remote sensing and data analysis. Many agricultural universities in China offer this program—for example, China Agricultural University and Nanjing Agricultural University—with large experimental farms and long-term field stations where you can test soil and analyze water quality firsthand. It's a great fit for students who love the outdoors, are curious about nature, and want to solve real-world problems—like why a field isn't producing good crops, or how to use less fertilizer without lowering yields.
