Program overview
This major focuses on how to protect and promote the health of women, children, and adolescents. You will learn about child growth and development patterns, adolescent health, pregnancy and postpartum care, nutrition, and psychology. Core courses include Child Health, Maternal and Child Health, Epidemiology, Health Statistics, and Health Education. It is suitable for students who are passionate about women's or children's health, enjoy interacting with people, and don't mind data analysis. Chinese universities have strong practical features in this field—for example, Peking University, Fudan University, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology all have national-level maternal and child health centers. Students have opportunities to intern at community hospitals or CDC centers, directly participating in real projects.
