Program overview
Clinical Stomatology is the core direction of the graduate stage of stomatology, mainly focusing on how to diagnose and treat oral diseases, including dental caries, periodontal disease, oral mucosal diseases, and maxillofacial trauma. The curriculum is very practical: in addition to core courses like "Oral Medicine," "Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery," "Prosthodontics," and "Orthodontics," you will also study "Oral Imaging Diagnosis," "Dental Materials Science," and "Clinical Skills Training." Many stomatology schools in Chinese universities have affiliated hospitals, such as Peking University School of Stomatology, West China Hospital of Stomatology, and Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, providing abundant clinical resources. Students can start working with real cases from their first year of graduate study. This major suits students with strong hands-on skills, patience, and a love for interacting with people. If you are interested in dental aesthetics, minimally invasive treatments, or digital dental technology, there are many cutting-edge directions to choose from.
