Program overview
Clinical medicine is all about learning to become a doctor—how to diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases. The curriculum is divided into two parts: the first two years focus on basic medical sciences like human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and pharmacology, helping you understand how the body works and what happens when it gets sick. The next three years cover clinical medicine, including internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and emergency medicine, plus rotations in various hospital departments where you interact directly with patients. Chinese universities place a strong emphasis on hands-on skills—many have affiliated hospitals, so from your fourth year onward, you can join doctors on rounds, write medical records, and even assist in minor surgeries. This program is ideal for students who are passionate about life sciences, have strong stamina, patience, and empathy. China's rich case database—covering tumors, cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases, and more—lets you gain experience quickly.
