Program overview
TCM Gynecology is a secondary clinical discipline under Traditional Chinese Medicine, focusing on the unique physiology, pathology, and disease prevention of women. Simply put, you'll learn how to use Chinese herbs, acupuncture, tuina, and dietary therapy to help women with issues like irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, infertility, postpartum recovery, and menopausal syndrome. Core courses include TCM Gynecology, Selected Readings of Classic Gynecology, Integrated Chinese and Western Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Clinical Skills in Gynecology. You'll learn syndrome differentiation and treatment — for example, the same irregular menstruation may be caused by blood deficiency in one patient and blood stasis in another, requiring completely different approaches. Many TCM universities in China (such as Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine) have strong clinical bases and renowned veteran TCM practitioner studios in this field, allowing you to observe real cases under expert guidance. This program suits students who are passionate about women's health, love traditional medicine, and are willing to memorize classic formulas. If you are patient and good at communication, you're a great fit. At the graduate level, you'll have extensive clinical rotations, directly interacting with patients and gaining hands-on experience.
