Program overview
Telecommunications Engineering and Management is an interdisciplinary major that combines "technology + management." Simply put, you'll study hardcore technical courses like communication principles, signal processing, and computer networks, as well as management courses such as project management, engineering economics, and marketing. Core courses include: Communication Principles, Digital Signal Processing, Mobile Communications, Optical Fiber Communications, Project Management, and Engineering Economics. It's ideal for students who are curious about how phones make calls and networks transmit data, and who also aspire to lead teams and make decisions in the future. China is at the forefront of 5G and IoT, and many universities (e.g., Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications) have dedicated 5G labs and school-enterprise cooperation projects, giving you access to the latest equipment and real-world cases.
