Program overview
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a subfield of Electronic Information under the Engineering discipline. Simply put, it's about making computers smarter—able to see, hear, speak, and make decisions. You'll study core courses like machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and natural language processing, and also get hands-on with Python programming, mathematics (linear algebra, probability theory), and algorithm design. This program suits students who enjoy math and logic, are curious about new technologies, and love building projects. Chinese universities have strong AI programs—for example, Tsinghua, Peking University, Zhejiang University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University all have top labs, with many faculty members coming from industry and using real corporate data in courses. Plus, Chinese universities collaborate closely with companies like Baidu, Alibaba, and Tencent, giving you opportunities to work on enterprise projects even while studying.
