Program overview
Applied Electronic Technology Education is an interdisciplinary field that combines "electronics technology" with "education." Simply put, you'll learn hardcore electronics knowledge like circuits, microcontrollers, and sensors, as well as how to teach these concepts to others. Core courses include analog/digital electronics, C programming, embedded systems, automatic control, along with pedagogy, psychology, and teaching methods. It's ideal for students who enjoy building circuits and writing code, while also wanting to share knowledge and become teachers or trainers. Many Chinese normal engineering universities (such as Tianjin University of Technology and Education and Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University) have strong programs in this field, offering practical training at vocational schools or enterprises, and you may even obtain a teaching certificate upon graduation.
