Program overview
Intelligent Vision Engineering is an emerging direction under the Electronic Information category. The core is to enable machines to 'see' and 'understand' images and videos like humans. You will study hardcore courses like image processing, machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision, while also getting hands-on with embedded systems, sensors, and hardware design—since many vision systems need to run on cameras, drones, or robots. Chinese universities have invested heavily in this field—for example, Tsinghua, Shanghai Jiao Tong, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences all have strong labs where students can work on real projects like face recognition, autonomous driving perception, and industrial defect detection. It's a great fit for students who love math, programming, and have a curiosity about images, videos, and AI applications.
