Program overview
The Flight Technology program, simply put, teaches you how to fly an airplane, but it's far more than just 'flying.' You will systematically study core courses such as flight principles, aviation meteorology, air navigation, aircraft systems, and aviation English. You'll also repeatedly practice handling various emergency situations in simulators, and finally obtain a commercial pilot license through actual flight training. Institutions like Civil Aviation University of China and Civil Aviation Flight University of China have Asia's largest flight training bases and fleets, offering plenty of hands-on opportunities. This major is suitable for students with good physical fitness, strong stress tolerance, decent English skills, and a love for teamwork — after all, in the cockpit, you need to closely coordinate with the co-pilot and air traffic control. If you have a passion for the blue sky and don't mind strict medical exams and a disciplined lifestyle, this is your starting point.
