Program overview
Aircraft Engine Engineering is a graduate program in the energy and power field, focusing on the heart of an aircraft—the engine. You will study courses such as engine aerothermodynamics, structural strength, combustion, control and testing, and also get hands-on with experiments and simulations. Chinese universities have a strong engineering practice orientation in this field; for example, Beihang University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Northwestern Polytechnical University all have national-level laboratories where you can access real engine test beds and the latest models. This program is suitable for students who enjoy physics and mechanics, have a passion for machinery and aircraft, and are willing to disassemble, assemble, and debug. If you have a solid foundation in math and programming, you'll find it easier to learn.
