You will learn courses such as drilling technology, wellbore pressure control, drilling fluid technology, well completion, and cementing. This major requires strong hands-on skills, a love for solving practical problems, and a solid foundation in physics and mathematics. Chinese universities have strong practical resources in this field, such as China University of Petroleum (East China/Beijing) and Southwest Petroleum University, which have national-level experimental platforms and close cooperation with oilfield enterprises, giving students the opportunity to participate in real drilling projects.
