Program overview
Building Electrical and Intelligence, simply put, is to install a "nervous system" for buildings – from lighting, power supply to air conditioning, elevators, fire protection, security, and intelligent control – making buildings safer, more energy-efficient, and more comfortable. You will learn core courses such as circuit analysis, automatic control principles, building power supply and distribution, building automation systems, communication networks and integrated wiring. This major is suitable for students who like hands-on work, are interested in electronics and computers, and don't want to stay in the lab all the time. Chinese universities place great emphasis on practice in this field. Many schools have dedicated intelligent building laboratories and even cooperate with large real estate companies and design institutes, giving you the opportunity to work on real projects. For example, Tongji University, Harbin Institute of Technology, and Chongqing University have strong faculty and resources in this area.
