Program overview
Social Medicine and Health Management, simply put, is about studying how to manage hospitals, design health insurance policies, and make public health services more effective. Core courses include health economics, hospital management, health policy analysis, epidemiology, health statistics, and more. If you are interested in the healthcare industry but don't want to be a clinician, this major is a great fit. Chinese universities have unique advantages in this field: for example, Peking University, Fudan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, among others, have strong faculty and hospital partnerships, giving students opportunities to participate in real hospital management projects or health policy research.
