Program overview
International Business is a subfield of Business Administration under Management. Its core is to cultivate your ability to do business globally. Simply put, you learn how to interact, negotiate, and sell products with people from different countries. The courses are very practical: International Trade Practice (how to fill forms, customs clearance, order tracking), International Finance (exchange rates, settlements), Cross-Cultural Management (how to communicate with foreigners without stepping on toes), and International Marketing (how to sell Chinese products abroad). A feature of Chinese universities is that many offer courses in English or bilingually, such as the University of International Business and Economics and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Many professors have overseas backgrounds or corporate experience. Suitable for outgoing students who enjoy interacting with people and are curious about different cultures. If your English is good and you don't want to study too theoretical stuff, this major is a good fit.
