Program overview
Auditing may sound a bit serious, but it's actually very practical. Simply put, it's about learning how to examine a company's accounts and processes to ensure they are truthful, legal, and efficient. You'll study core courses like Auditing Principles, Financial Auditing, Internal Control, and Risk Management, as well as foundational subjects such as Accounting, Tax Law, and Corporate Law. Chinese universities place a strong emphasis on hands-on practice—many schools have students work with real financial software on case studies, and even arrange internships at accounting firms. If you're detail-oriented, logical, sensitive to numbers, or enjoy 'finding faults' (in a good way), this major will suit you well. China has a unique advantage in auditing—the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) exam system is very mature, and many courses are directly aligned with the exam content, so you can take the exam right after finishing your studies.
