Program overview
Education might sound a bit abstract, but it's actually very down-to-earth—it's the study of "how to teach" and "how to learn." You'll dive into core courses like educational psychology, curriculum design, educational measurement and evaluation, and comparative education. For example, why do some teachers make everything crystal clear while others put you to sleep? Education helps you uncover the patterns behind it. A unique feature of education programs in Chinese universities is that many schools combine local practices, such as studying real cases like rural education in China, the Gaokao reform, and online education. You'll also explore courses like education policy analysis and sociology of education to understand how education shapes society. This major is perfect for students who are curious about people, enjoy thinking deeply, have patience, and want to help others grow. If you've ever wondered "why education differs so much across countries" or "how to design an engaging lesson," then education is a great fit for you.
