Program overview
The Vocational and Technical Education program, simply put, teaches you how to become an excellent vocational educator. You may become a teacher at a vocational college, a corporate trainer, or even get involved in designing training courses. Core courses include vocational education theory, curriculum and instruction, learning psychology, educational measurement and evaluation, and you'll also learn methods for analyzing industry skills. A unique feature of Chinese universities in this field is the strong emphasis on 'dual-qualification' teacher training—meaning you need to understand both educational theory and the practical operations of a specific industry (such as information technology, tourism, or mechanics). Many schools arrange internships at vocational colleges or corporate training bases, giving you direct exposure to real teaching scenarios. This program is especially suited for students who enjoy hands-on practice, love helping others master skills, and are passionate about education but don't want to stick to traditional academic research.
