Major introduction

Learn martial arts, spread culture, strengthen the body — a distinctive program that blends traditional sports with modern education.

Program overview

This program focuses on Chinese martial arts, traditional sports for health preservation, and ethnic folk sports. In simple terms, you'll practice martial arts techniques while learning how to teach them, and also explore the cultural stories behind them. Core courses include martial arts routines, Sanda (free fighting), Tai Chi, traditional health exercises (like Baduanjin and Wuqinxi), as well as theoretical subjects such as sports anatomy and physical education teaching methods. If you love sports and are interested in traditional Chinese culture, or want to become a PE teacher or martial arts coach in the future, this program is a great fit. Many Chinese sports universities (e.g., Beijing Sport University, Shanghai University of Sport) have strong faculty and training facilities in this field, and international students can even train directly with professional teams — a rare opportunity.

Major prospects

Career prospects
