Program overview
At the graduate level, you will dive deep into core courses such as Corporate Finance, Investments, Financial Markets and Institutions, Financial Risk Management, and Econometrics. In simple terms, you'll learn how to value companies, design investment portfolios, analyze stocks and bonds, and use derivatives to hedge risks. Finance programs at Chinese universities place a strong emphasis on quantitative analysis and practical application. Many schools have financial labs where you can conduct simulated trading with real market data. If you have a knack for numbers, enjoy exploring the logic behind economic phenomena, or aspire to become a master of "making money work for you," this major is a great fit. But be prepared: math and statistics are foundational tools, and you'll frequently use Python or R.
