Program overview
Food Hygiene and Nutrition may sound high-end, but its core is actually studying the relationship between "eating" and "health." How should you combine the meals, snacks, and drinks you consume daily to help people get sick less and feel more energetic? That's what we learn. Courses include basic nutrition, food hygiene and safety, food chemistry, human physiology, clinical nutrition, as well as some statistics and experimental methods. A unique feature of this program in Chinese universities is that many schools incorporate traditional Chinese medicine food therapy, such as the concept of "medicine and food share the same origin," which may not be common in other countries. Who is this program suitable for? If you don't mind biology and chemistry, care about how to eat healthily, or want to help others solve dietary issues, this program is a great fit.
