Program overview
Information Countermeasure Technology, simply put, teaches you how to 'attack' and 'defend' information. Core courses include signal processing, communication principles, cryptography, network attack and defense, radar countermeasures, electronic warfare, and more. You'll learn how to crack encrypted information, jam enemy communications, and protect your own networks from intrusion. This major requires a solid foundation in math and physics, but places even greater emphasis on logical thinking and hands-on skills. Chinese universities have unique strengths in this field—for example, Harbin Institute of Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology, and Xidian University have specialized labs and military projects where students can experience real-world countermeasure scenarios. It's ideal for those who enjoy challenges and are interested in cybersecurity and military technology.
