Sun Yat-sen University

Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, is a Class A Double First-Class institution founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen in 1924. Located in the heart of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, SYSU operates three campuses in Guangzhou, Zhuhai, and Shenzhen, covering a total area of about 915 hectares.

As a comprehensive university with balanced development in humanities, sciences, medicine, and engineering, SYSU is a member of Project 985, Project 211, the Association of Pacific Rim Universities, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance.

SYSU's flagship programs include clinical medicine, pharmacy, business administration, economics, philosophy, mathematics, and biology. Its medical disciplines rank among the top in China, supported by 10 affiliated hospitals.

Business administration, public management, philosophy, and Chinese language and literature are rated A-class in national evaluations. SYSU consistently ranks among the top 10 in China in the Academic Ranking of World Universities and QS World University Rankings.
