Overview
Fujian Normal University (FNU) is located in Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province, a historic city with over 2,200 years of heritage, known as the 'Seaside Zou-Lu' (a land of culture). As a key comprehensive university jointly established by the Fujian Provincial Government and the Ministry of Education, it is designated as a Class A university in Fujian's second round of 'Double First-Class' construction.
Its roots trace back to 1907 when the 'Fujian Superior Normal School' was founded by Chen Baochen, a tutor to the Qing emperor. Over a century, it has evolved into a comprehensive university with teacher education as its core, covering arts, sciences, engineering, law, economics, and management.
