Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University

Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), located in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China, is a Sino-foreign cooperative university approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education. Founded in 2006 as a joint venture between Xi’an Jiaotong University (China) and the University of Liverpool (UK), it is the first independent legal entity cooperative university in China.

XJTLU offers all courses in English, blending the strengths of Chinese and British education systems to cultivate global citizens with international perspectives, cross-cultural communication skills, and innovative spirit.

XJTLU’s unique advantage lies in its innovative cooperative education model. Graduates receive dual degrees: a degree from the University of Liverpool (UK) and a degree from XJTLU (China), recognized worldwide. The university comprises 20 schools offering 48 undergraduate, 48 master’s, and 17 doctoral programs across business, engineering, science, humanities, architecture, film, and more.

Flagship programs include Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Financial Mathematics, and Architecture, which are highly sought after by international students.
