Shandong Normal University

Located in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province, Shandong Normal University (SDNU) operates two campuses—Qianfoshan and Changqinghu—covering a total area of nearly 3,850 mu (about 256 hectares) with a building area of 1.35 million square meters.

As a key provincial university and a priority institution under Shandong's high-level university construction initiative, SDNU is also one of the first universities selected for the Ministry of Education's Excellent Teacher Training Program and a national key Marxist college.

SDNU's flagship strength lies in teacher education, with renowned programs in education, psychology, Chinese language and literature, and mathematics. The university hosts 13 postdoctoral research stations, 16 first-level doctoral degree authorization points, and 31 first-level master's degree authorization points, reflecting a comprehensive disciplinary structure.

It consistently ranks among the top provincial universities in Shandong, particularly excelling in humanities, social sciences, and basic education research. As a pioneer of the Excellent Teacher Training Program, SDNU's School of Marxism has been designated a national key Marxist college, underscoring its leadership in ideological and political education.

SDNU boasts a highly qualified faculty of over 2,800 staff, including numerous national and provincial teaching masters and academic leaders. With 22 colleges and 64 undergraduate programs, the curriculum emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, especially in teacher training and research innovation.

The university operates several national and provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers, virtual simulation labs, and online courses. Research is supported by multiple provincial and ministerial key laboratories and humanities research bases, with active participation in major national projects.

The Qianfoshan campus is located in central Jinan near the scenic Qianfoshan Mountain, offering a culturally rich environment, while the Changqinghu campus in Changqing University Town features modern, spacious facilities.

The total building area of 1.35 million square meters includes a library with over 3.65 million print books and 1.85 million e-books. Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and internet access, and the cafeterias provide diverse dining options.
