Shandong Agricultural University

Located in Tai'an at the foot of Mount Tai, Shandong Agricultural University (SDAU) is a multidisciplinary university with strengths in agricultural sciences and life sciences, covering fields such as agriculture, science, engineering, management, economics, humanities, law, arts, and education.

It is jointly established by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, and the Shandong Provincial Government. As a key provincial undergraduate institution, SDAU is among the first batch of pilot universities for the National Excellent Agricultural and Forestry Talent Education and Training Plan and a member of Shandong's high-level university construction initiative.

SDAU's flagship programs are in agricultural and life sciences, with renowned disciplines in agronomy, forestry, horticulture, plant protection, and animal science. It is recognized as a first-batch applied basic characteristic prestigious university in Shandong, offering 11 first-level doctoral programs, 25 first-level master's programs, and 12 postdoctoral research stations.

In national discipline evaluations, crop science, horticulture, and plant protection rank among the top. The university is selected for the National High-Level University Graduate Program and boasts strong research capabilities with over 1.4 billion yuan in teaching and research equipment and a library holding 3.12 million books.

With 22 colleges and 92 undergraduate programs, SDAU has a faculty of 2,658, including national-level experts and industry leaders. The curriculum emphasizes practical training, supported by national experimental teaching demonstration centers and off-campus internship bases.

Research platforms include state key laboratories and national engineering technology research centers, undertaking numerous national and provincial projects. The university also offers continuing education programs. Graduate education covers doctoral, master's, and professional degrees, with a comprehensive training system.
