Tiangong University

Tiangong University (TGU) is a full-time undergraduate institution located in Tianjin, a major economic hub in northern China. It is jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and the Tianjin Municipal Government.

As a national 'Double First-Class' construction university and a Tianjin high-level characteristic university, TGU is also a host institution for Chinese Government Scholarship international students. The campus covers over 1.5 million square meters with a building area of 860,000 square meters, comprising 5 faculties, 29 colleges, 1 academy, and 2 affiliated hospitals, offering 61 undergraduate programs.

TGU's flagship discipline is Textile Science and Engineering, which received an A+ rating in the national discipline evaluation and is part of the 'Double First-Class' initiative. Additionally, disciplines such as Materials Science, Chemistry, and Engineering have entered the ESI global top 1%, highlighting its research strength.

The university enjoys a strong reputation in textiles, new materials, and intelligent manufacturing, with close industry partnerships that ensure high graduate employability. As a national demonstration university for innovation and entrepreneurship education, it is selected into the Ministry of Education's 'Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program' and the first batch of 'Emerging Engineering Education' projects, emphasizing practical skills and innovation.

The university boasts a highly qualified faculty of over 2,200 staff, including more than 1,600 full-time teachers, among whom are academicians, national talent program recipients, and industry leaders.
