Zhejiang A&F University

Zhejiang A&F University (ZAFU) is located in the scenic city of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It is a full-time undergraduate institution established by the Zhejiang Provincial Government and administered by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education.

The university is co-built by the Zhejiang Provincial Government with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, as well as with the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, making it a key construction university and a high-level university development project in Zhejiang.

ZAFU's flagship programs include Forestry, Forestry Engineering, Landscape Architecture, and Agricultural Resources and Environment, with Forestry being a nationally renowned traditional strength. The university hosts 5 postdoctoral research stations for first-level disciplines, 9 doctoral degree authorization points, 2 professional doctoral categories, 21 master's degree authorization points, and 24 professional master's categories, forming a comprehensive academic system.

As a co-built university with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, ZAFU enjoys strong industry support and resources. It has excelled in national undergraduate teaching evaluations and was selected for the Excellent Agricultural and Forestry Talent Education and Training Program.

ZAFU comprises 20 colleges (departments) and one independent college, offering 63 undergraduate programs across agriculture, forestry, science, engineering, humanities, and social sciences. The faculty includes 2,606 staff members, with a high proportion of senior professors and many national and provincial talents.

The university emphasizes the integration of theory and practice, with multiple national and provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers and virtual simulation centers. Research facilities boast over 700 million yuan worth of instruments and equipment, including key provincial and ministerial laboratories and engineering research centers, such as the Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Forest Ecosystem Carbon Cycling and Carbon Sequestration.

ZAFU has three distinctive campuses: Donghu, Yijin, and Zhuji. Donghu Campus, the main campus, features a beautiful lake and hills, with modern teaching buildings, libraries, and laboratories. Yijin Campus is located in Lin'an city center, offering convenient transportation and complete living facilities.

Zhuji Campus (Jiyang College) in Zhuji City has a contemporary design with advanced teaching and accommodation. The total campus area exceeds 3,300 mu (220 hectares) with 1,061,000 square meters of building space, known as a 'garden campus' with high greenery coverage.
