Qilu University of Technology

Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences) is located in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province. It is a key applied research university in Shandong and the only comprehensive natural science research institution in the province.

Its history dates back to the Jiaodong Industrial School founded in 1948, and in 2017 it merged with the Shandong Academy of Sciences, creating a unique integration of education and research. The university has campuses or research institutes in Jinan, Qingdao, Jining, Heze, Dezhou, and other cities, with a total building area of over 1.5 million square meters.

Qilu University of Technology's flagship programs include Light Industry Technology and Engineering, Food Science and Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, and Computer Science and Technology. Light Industry Technology and Engineering is a first-class discipline in Shandong Province and enjoys a national reputation.

The university offers 5 first-level doctoral degree programs and 18 first-level master's degree programs, and is authorized by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee to confer doctoral and master's degrees. As one of the first universities selected for the 'Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program 2.0,' it excels in engineering education, emphasizing the integration of theory and practice, and has cultivated many industry leaders.

The university comprises 26 teaching and research units, offering 70 undergraduate programs. It has 2,278 full-time faculty members, with over 50% holding senior professional titles, and many are selected for national talent programs.

The curriculum is internationally oriented, with some programs offering full English-taught courses and dual-degree or exchange programs with overseas universities. In research, the university hosts multiple provincial and ministerial key laboratories and engineering technology research centers, with teaching and research equipment valued at 2.314 billion RMB and a library holding 2.89 million volumes.

The main campus in Jinan is located in Changqing University City, with convenient transportation and complete living facilities. Teaching buildings, laboratories, and libraries are equipped with advanced facilities. Student dormitories are air-conditioned with private bathrooms, and canteens offer diverse dining options.
