China Jiliang University

China Jiliang University (CJLU) is located in the picturesque city of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It is a public undergraduate institution with a distinctive focus on metrology, standards, quality, market supervision, and inspection and quarantine.

Founded in 1978 as Hangzhou Metrology School by the State Metrology Bureau, it was renamed China Jiliang University in 2016 and approved as a doctoral degree-granting institution in 2021. As a national intellectual property pilot university and a comprehensive pilot for education evaluation reform in Zhejiang, CJLU leads the Yangtze River Delta High-Level Industry Characteristic University Alliance and the Belt and Road Standardization Education and Research University Alliance.

CJLU's flagship programs in metrology, standards, quality, market supervision, and inspection and quarantine are among the best in China, with distinct industry characteristics. The university is jointly built by Zhejiang Province and the State Administration for Market Regulation, highlighting its exceptional reputation in the field.

In 2017, it was selected as one of the top 50 national innovation and entrepreneurship typical experience universities, showcasing its strength in cultivating innovative talents. CJLU offers 2 first-level doctoral degree programs and 15 first-level master's degree programs, forming a comprehensive disciplinary system.

CJLU comprises 19 colleges, departments, and centers, offering 56 undergraduate programs across engineering, science, management, law, literature, economics, and more. The faculty includes nearly 1,600 full-time teachers, over 50% of whom hold senior academic titles, with many recognized in national talent programs.

The curriculum emphasizes the integration of theory and practice, featuring national-level experimental teaching demonstration centers, virtual simulation centers, and partnerships with industry enterprises for internships.

CJLU has two campuses (East and West) covering 1,580 mu (about 105 hectares), featuring a beautiful environment with modern architecture blended with traditional Jiangnan garden style. Facilities include smart classrooms, multimedia labs, a large library, and sports venues.

Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and private bathrooms, while canteens offer diverse dining options. The campus hosts student activity centers, entrepreneurship incubators, and various clubs, enriching student life.
