Wenzhou-Kean University

Located in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU) is a Sino-US cooperative university with independent legal status, jointly established by Kean University (USA) and Wenzhou University (China) with approval from the Chinese Ministry of Education.

Officially founded in 2014, its roots trace back to a 2006 agreement between the two institutions. As a member of the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Universities Alliance, WKU delivers an authentic American higher education experience with English-only instruction and a diverse international faculty.

WKU's key strengths lie in its authentic American education system and dual-degree mechanism. Graduates receive both a Kean University degree and a Chinese degree, giving them a competitive edge in global job markets and graduate school applications.

The curriculum follows Kean University's quality assurance standards, ensuring consistency with the US campus. Flagship programs include International Economics and Trade, Finance, and Computer Science, which emphasize practical skills and innovation.

WKU's pedagogy is student-centered, promoting critical thinking, teamwork, and independent learning. The faculty includes over 500 Chinese and international staff, with more than 220 full-time teachers, most holding PhDs from prestigious overseas universities.
