Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University

Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) is located in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. Founded in 2005 through a partnership between Beijing Normal University and Hong Kong Baptist University, it is the first collaborative university between mainland China and Hong Kong in higher education and the first innovative liberal arts university.

BNBU adopts English as the medium of instruction and aligns its academic standards with international norms. It offers a comprehensive talent cultivation system spanning bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and postdoctoral programs.

BNBU's core strengths lie in its unique liberal arts education philosophy and international positioning. As a pioneer in cross-border higher education cooperation, it combines the best of mainland Chinese and Hong Kong education, offering an English-taught environment that emphasizes critical thinking, interdisciplinary skills, and global perspectives.

The university is a key discipline construction institution in Guangdong Province and ranks among the top 100 Chinese universities for high-level talent. Flagship programs include business, media, computer science, data science, and applied psychology, many of which are synchronized with Hong Kong Baptist University's curriculum and internationally recognized.

Academically, BNBU maintains small class sizes and interactive teaching with a low student-to-faculty ratio, ensuring personalized attention. All faculty members have overseas study or work experience, nearly 90% hold doctoral degrees, and 17 are among the world's top 2% scientists.

The curriculum is flexible, allowing cross-college course selection and exchange programs with Hong Kong Baptist University's main campus. Research platforms include the Advanced Research Institute, two postdoctoral research stations, and multiple provincial and municipal key laboratories and research centers covering AI, data science, environmental science, communication, and business.

The campus is located on Jintong Road in Zhuhai, featuring a beautiful environment and modern facilities. Phase I campus was inaugurated in 2014, and an additional 550 mu (about 36.7 hectares) of land was granted in 2021 for Phase II construction, which is underway.

The campus includes modern teaching buildings, a library, laboratories, sports facilities, student dormitories, and dining halls. The library is well-stocked with electronic resources and study spaces. Student dormitories are comfortable with air conditioning, private bathrooms, and internet access.
