Wuhan Textile University

Wuhan Textile University (WTU), located in Wuhan, Hubei Province, is a teaching and research university with engineering as its core, covering seven disciplines: science, engineering, humanities, law, economics, management, and art.

It is a Hubei Provincial 'Domestic First-Class Disciplines' construction university, one of China's top ten fashion schools, a university under the Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in Central and Western China, and a participant in the Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan.

WTU's flagship discipline is Textile Science and Engineering, which was selected as a key discipline for first-class construction in Hubei Province and became the first discipline in a provincial university to cultivate an academician independently in 2022.

Design (Fashion Design) is also highly renowned, earning the university the title of 'Top Ten Fashion Schools in China' with numerous awards in domestic and international fashion design competitions. The university hosts a '111 Plan' Discipline Innovation and Talent Introduction Base, a national-level international science and technology cooperation platform.

WTU has over 2,200 faculty and staff, including more than 1,500 full-time teachers, among whom are one academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and over 20 national-level talents such as recipients of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund.

The university offers two first-level doctoral degree programs (Textile Science and Engineering, Design), 16 first-level master's degree programs, and 15 professional master's degree categories. It has 70 undergraduate programs spanning engineering, science, humanities, law, economics, management, and art.

WTU has three distinctive campuses: Yangguang Campus features modern facilities with well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and sports venues; Nanhu Campus boasts a historic atmosphere with lush greenery and cultural heritage; Donghu Campus is adjacent to the scenic East Lake, offering beautiful surroundings.

Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and private bathrooms, ensuring comfortable living. The campuses provide multiple canteens, supermarkets, banks, and medical services. Special facilities include an entrepreneurship incubation base, an art exhibition hall, and a textile museum, enriching students' extracurricular life.
