Shenyang Pharmaceutical University

Shenyang Pharmaceutical University (SPU), located in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, is a provincial comprehensive university with a strong focus on pharmacy. Founded in 1931 as the Dispensing Class of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army Health School, it moved through the Long March and several relocations before settling in Shenyang, making it one of the earliest pharmaceutical universities in China.

As a key university in Liaoning Province's first-class construction project, SPU is part of national programs such as the High-Level University Graduate Program and the National Basic Science Research and Teaching Talent Training Base.

SPU's flagship programs include Pharmacy, Traditional Chinese Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Engineering, and Medicinal Chemistry. Its Pharmacy discipline was rated A-class in the fourth national discipline evaluation, ranking among the top in China.

The university has 2 postdoctoral stations, 2 first-level doctoral degree authorization points, and 21 second-level doctoral programs, offering a complete bachelor-master-doctor training system.
