Shantou University

Shantou University (STU) is located in Shantou, Guangdong Province, China. It is a provincial-provincial joint university co-established by the Ministry of Education, the Guangdong Provincial Government, and the Li Ka-shing Foundation.

As a key discipline construction university under the Guangdong High-Level University Initiative and the first pilot university for higher education reform in the province, STU embraces openness, innovation, and internationalization.

STU's flagship programs include medicine, business, engineering, and marine science. The Medical College is a crown jewel, with strong clinical and basic medicine disciplines, multiple provincial key labs, and teaching hospitals.

The Business School holds AACSB accreditation, offering highly regarded programs in business administration and finance. The Engineering School excels in intelligent manufacturing, civil engineering, and computer science, with close industry ties.
