Henan University of Chinese Medicine

Henan University of Chinese Medicine (HACTCM) is located in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, China. It is a provincial key university jointly established by the Henan Provincial People's Government and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and is a characteristic backbone university in Henan.

The university focuses on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) while integrating medicine, science, management, engineering, and humanities. Its predecessor was founded in 1955 in Kaifeng, moved to Zhengzhou in 1958, and was renamed Henan University of Chinese Medicine in 2016.

HACTCM's flagship programs include Chinese Medicine and Chinese Materia Medica. It offers 2 first-level doctoral degree disciplines, 1 professional doctoral degree in Chinese Medicine, 8 first-level master's degree disciplines, and 10 professional master's degree programs.

As a university co-built with the National Administration of TCM, it enjoys high reputation in the TCM industry. The university operates several affiliated hospitals, such as the First Affiliated Hospital, Shangqiu Hospital, and Sanmenxia Hospital, providing ample clinical practice opportunities.

The university has a strong faculty of 1,666 staff, including many senior professors and national talent program members. It comprises 22 colleges and academies, offering 36 undergraduate programs and 2 second bachelor's degree programs across medicine, science, management, engineering, and humanities.

The curriculum emphasizes the integration of TCM theory and practice, with international cooperation programs such as the joint college with Management and Science University in Malaysia. Research platforms include the Institute of Chinese Medicine and the Henan TCM Culture Education Base, undertaking numerous national projects.

HACTCM has five campuses, with the main campus located at Longzi Lake in Zhengdong New District, featuring a beautiful environment and modern facilities. The campus covers 1,862 mu (124 hectares) with a building area of 976,400 square meters.

Teaching and research equipment totals 742 million yuan. The library is well-stocked, sports facilities are complete, and student dormitories are comfortable with air conditioning and internet. The campus is green with lakes, offering convenient living with multiple canteens.
