Jiangxi University of Science and Technology

Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (JXUST) is a teaching and research university with its main campus in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, and a branch campus in Nanchang. Co-established by the Jiangxi Provincial Government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Education, it originated as Jiangxi Metallurgy College in 1958 and adopted its current name in 2004.

The university operates three campuses—Sanjiang, Hongqi, and Nanchang—covering over 3,300 mu, with about 27,000 undergraduates and 5,900 postgraduates. Committed to internationalization, JXUST has partnerships with universities and research institutions worldwide, actively recruiting international students to foster a multicultural environment.

JXUST's flagship programs include metallurgical engineering, materials science and engineering, mining engineering, and civil engineering, which enjoy strong reputations both domestically and internationally. Formerly under the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry and China Nonferrous Metals Industry Corporation, the university has deep connections in the nonferrous metals sector.

In 2017, it was selected for the national 'Midwest University Basic Capacity Building Project' and became a first-class discipline construction university in Jiangxi. The university offers 3 first-level doctoral programs, 2 professional doctoral programs, 22 first-level master's programs, and 2 postdoctoral research stations.

The university boasts a faculty of over 2,000, including national-level high-caliber talents and industry experts. Teaching emphasizes the integration of theory and practice through school-enterprise collaboration, with many joint training bases established with major companies.

Research platforms include a postdoctoral workstation, national key laboratory cultivation bases, and provincial-level key laboratories, providing cutting-edge facilities for faculty and students. JXUST comprises 24 teaching colleges offering 71 undergraduate programs across engineering, science, management, economics, law, arts, and more.

JXUST's campuses are set in scenic locations: Sanjiang campus along the Gan River, Hongqi campus in the city center, and Nanchang campus in the provincial capital. Green spaces and modern architecture create a pleasant environment.
