Henan University of Technology

Henan University of Technology (HAUT), located in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, China, is a multi-disciplinary university primarily focusing on engineering while covering nine academic fields including engineering, science, economics, and management.

It is jointly built by the Henan Provincial Government and the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, and is part of the Midwestern Universities Basic Capacity Building Project, Henan Characteristic Backbone Universities, and the provincial 'Double First-Class' initiative.

HAUT's flagship programs include grain engineering, food science and engineering, and mechanical engineering, earning it the reputation as the 'Whampoa Military Academy of China's Grain Industry'. Supported by the National Food Administration, the university excels in grain storage, oil processing, and grain machinery.

Engineering and Agricultural Science rank in the top 1% of ESI globally. As a member of the Midwestern Universities Basic Capacity Building Project, HAUT has outstanding advantages in food security and intelligent manufacturing.

HAUT comprises 22 schools offering 73 undergraduate programs, with 3 postdoctoral research stations, 5 first-level doctoral degree authorization points, 25 first-level master's degree authorization points, and 14 professional master's degree categories.

The faculty includes 1,982 full-time teachers, over 50% with senior titles, many of whom are national talent program recipients. The curriculum emphasizes theory-practice integration, supported by national experimental teaching demonstration centers and virtual simulation labs.

HAUT's three campuses offer distinct environments: Lianhua Street campus is the main hub with modern classrooms, libraries, and sports facilities; Songshan Road and Zhongyuan Road campuses feature green spaces and convenient living.

Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and internet, while canteens provide diverse dining options. The campuses are tree-lined with lakes, creating a comfortable atmosphere for study and life.
