Overview
Central South University of Forestry and Technology (CSUFT) is located in Changsha, a historic and cultural city in Hunan Province, China. It is a provincial key university jointly established by the Hunan Provincial Government and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, and is part of Hunan's 'Double First-Class' initiative and the national 'Midwest University Basic Capacity Building Project'.
Tracing its roots to the Guangdong Provincial Agricultural and Forestry Experimental Farm founded in 1911, CSUFT evolved from Hunan Forestry College (1958) and the merger with South China Agricultural College's Forestry Department in 1963 to form Central South Forestry College, renamed in 2005.
