Yantai University

Yantai University is located in Yantai City, Shandong Province, a beautiful coastal city. Founded in 1984 and jointly established with ongoing support from Peking University and Tsinghua University, it is a key comprehensive university under Shandong Province.

The university has three campuses: Main Campus, South Campus, and Bajiaowan Campus, covering an area of about 3,000 mu. It comprises 23 colleges and 66 research institutes, offering a wide range of disciplines including arts, sciences, engineering, law, economics, management, and medicine.

Yantai University's flagship programs include law, pharmacy, chemical engineering and technology, and computer science. It boasts 15 national-level first-class undergraduate programs and 17 provincial-level ones, along with 4 national characteristic specialties.

The law program is part of the Ministry of Education's first batch of Outstanding Legal Talent Education and Training Plan, while programs like vehicle engineering and computer science are included in the Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan.

Yantai University has a highly qualified faculty of 2,286, including scholars from Peking University and Tsinghua University. It offers 3 first-level doctoral degree authorization disciplines, 25 first-level master's degree authorization disciplines, and 16 professional master's degree categories, along with a doctoral program for national special needs.

The university operates 66 research institutes covering cutting-edge fields. Its curriculum features innovative experimental classes for outstanding engineers and legal talents, emphasizing the integration of theory and practice.

Yantai University's three campuses each have unique features: the Main Campus in Laishan District offers a scenic environment near the sea; the South Campus focuses on industry-education integration with new teaching and training buildings; and the Bajiaowan Campus, opened in 2023, boasts modern facilities.

The university has three libraries (Chengxian, Yifu, and Bajiaowan) with a total area of 64,600 square meters and extensive collections.
