North China University of Technology

North China University of Technology (NCUT) is a full-time public university located in Beijing, the capital of China. It is a municipal key university under the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and jointly built with the Ministry of Education.

NCUT emphasizes engineering while coordinating the development of seven disciplines: science, engineering, literature, economics, management, law, and art. Its history dates back to the National Beiping Advanced Industrial Vocational School founded in 1946, and it was renamed North China University of Technology in 1985.

NCUT's flagship programs are concentrated in engineering, particularly in computer science, automation, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and materials science. The university is recognized as a participant in the Ministry of Education's 'Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program' (second batch) and one of the first in the 'New Engineering' research and practice projects, highlighting its quality in engineering education.

As a Beijing municipal key university, NCUT maintains close ties with the Beijing government and industries, boasting a strong reputation in metallurgy, non-ferrous metals, and intelligent manufacturing. It offers 2 first-level doctoral degree programs, 1 special doctoral talent training project, and 18 first-level master's degree programs.

NCUT has a highly qualified faculty of 1,005 full-time teachers, including national-level experts and industry professionals. The curriculum emphasizes engineering practice and innovation, with extensive internship partnerships with enterprises.

Research is supported by a post-doctoral workstation and several provincial/ministerial key laboratories and engineering research centers, such as the Beijing Key Laboratory of Urban Road Traffic Intelligent Control Technology.

Located in Shijingshan District, Beijing, NCUT's campus is easily accessible with convenient amenities. Covering 452 mu (30 hectares) with 400,000 square meters of buildings, the campus features modern teaching buildings, labs, a library, and sports facilities.

Student dormitories are well-equipped with air conditioning and internet access. Multiple dining halls offer diverse food options. The campus also includes a student activity center and an entrepreneurship incubation base.
