Dongguan University of Technology

Dongguan University of Technology (DGUT) is located in Dongguan, a key city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It operates two campuses: Songshan Lake and Guancheng, covering a total area of 2,192 mu (about 146 hectares).

As a full-time undergraduate institution with a focus on engineering and multidisciplinary development, DGUT has been selected for the Guangdong High-Level Polytechnic University program and the Key Discipline Construction Universities under the Guangdong High-Level University Construction Plan.

DGUT's flagship programs include Electronic Information Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, and Mechanical Design and Automation, many of which are recognized as national first-class undergraduate programs.

As one of the first batch of universities to implement the Ministry of Education's 'Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program,' DGUT enjoys a strong reputation in engineering education. In 2021, it was selected for the Guangdong High-Level University Construction Plan and approved as a doctoral degree-granting project construction unit.

DGUT comprises 20 schools offering 62 undergraduate programs, with 4 first-level master's degree programs and 11 professional master's degree programs. The faculty of 1,920 includes national-level high-level talents and industry experts.

The curriculum emphasizes the integration of theory and practice, implementing the Excellent Engineer Program and offering joint bachelor's degree programs with Guangdong Medical University, such as 'Pharmacy + Applied Chemistry' and 'Electronic Information Engineering + Intelligent Medical Engineering,' to cultivate interdisciplinary talents.

The Songshan Lake campus is located in the scenic Songshan Lake High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, featuring modern architecture blended with natural landscapes. The Guancheng campus is situated in downtown Dongguan, offering convenient transportation and comprehensive living facilities.

Together, the two campuses cover 2,192 mu (about 146 hectares), with a library holding 2.052 million volumes. Students have access to advanced laboratories, sports facilities, dormitories, and dining halls. The campuses are fully covered by Wi-Fi, and living amenities are well-equipped, ensuring a comfortable and convenient environment for study and life.
