Shandong Jianzhu University

Shandong Jianzhu University (SDJZU) is located in Jinan, Shandong Province, China. It is a full-time public undergraduate university jointly built by the Shandong Provincial Government and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

Founded in 1956 as Jinan Urban Construction Engineering School, it was renamed Shandong Jianzhu University in 2006 and became a provincial-ministerial co-built university in 2016. As a member of the Belt and Road Architecture University International Alliance and a university under the Ministry of Education's Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program, SDJZU actively promotes internationalization, collaborating with universities worldwide.

SDJZU's flagship programs include Architecture, Civil Engineering, Urban and Rural Planning, and Water Supply and Drainage Engineering, with Architecture enjoying a strong reputation both domestically and internationally.

The university is a high-level discipline construction university in Shandong, offering 1 doctoral talent cultivation project, 17 first-level master's degree programs, and 19 professional master's degree categories. As the first university in Shandong to implement the national industry-education integration project, SDJZU has established joint labs and internship bases with leading companies.

SDJZU comprises 21 colleges and departments offering 64 undergraduate programs across architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, information technology, management, and arts. The faculty includes over 2,200 staff, many with senior titles and overseas experience.

The curriculum integrates theory with practice through project-based learning and industry partnerships. Research platforms include several provincial key laboratories and engineering research centers, such as the Shandong Key Laboratory of Building Energy Efficiency and the Shandong Collaborative Innovation Center of Green Building.

The main campus of SDJZU is located in Lixia District, Jinan, featuring a green and pleasant environment. Modern teaching buildings, laboratories, a library, and sports facilities are available. The library holds a vast collection of books and digital resources with ample study spaces.
